Like the Epic, the Epic 100 is easy to use and remarkably efficient. To capture incredible gigapixel images simply set the corners of the panorama you want to capture using the LCD interface. The built in software works out how many photos your camera will need to take - hundreds or even thousands. Then the Epic100 begins snapping the photos, automatically organizing them in overlapping rows and columns.
The GigaPan Epic 100 has the same features and capabilities as the GigaPan Epic. In addition, the Epic 100 has the features listed below:
An extendable metal plate on the camera base to accommodate larger cameras
A greater elevation of the camera plate from the imager body of 33.5 mm to allow for a greater range for camera pitch (tilt or elevation)
The gearing for the pitch is 15:1 (versus 5:1 for the Epic) allowing for greater holding torque and finer precision movements
Illuminated display for night time shooting.
Start Delay/Timer Enables a timer delay before each panorama capture begins.
Multiple shutter Allows the Gigapan unit to take multiple pictures at each image location up to 9 times per position.
The GigaPan Epic 100 comes with the fully integrated GigaPan Stitcher software. The GigaPan Stitcher automatically combines the images captured by the GigaPan Epic 100 into a single brilliant panorama. The Stitcher does the work for you, aligning and blending your individual pictures together into a single panorama.
Share, store and explore, by uploading your gigapixel panorama to GigaPan.org where the powerful technology of the GigaPan Viewer allows you to zoom in and out, seeing unbelievable detail.
